Milo came to see our surgeon, Roger after being hit by a car. He was able to stand but was in lots of pain and very lame on his left hind leg. He was anaesthetised and x-rays were taken showing that he had fractured his pelvis in several places. He had a locking plate placed on his left ilial wing fracture as this is a part of the pelvis that has to bear weight. His other fractures didn't need repairing as they weren't weight bearing and would heal without any fixation. The x-rays are of his initial fracture, and at 8 weeks after surgery when he was healing well and walking much better.
