Laura Bailo

Laura graduated from the University of Zaragoza back in Spain in 2015. She then spent a few years developing interests and a career outside veterinary medicine. She obtained a Masters in teaching in 2017 and has worked as a receptionist, a teacher, and a professional translator. She has even published a few romance books of her own!

She decided to come back to the world she loved and what she had always wanted to do, and joined Holly House in February 2022. She is one of our consulting vets and is interested in the medical side of the job, as well as in developing lasting and trusting relationships with clients and their pets. She will always greet you with a smile and a fuss for your furry friend.

She is passionate about the human side of the job, and has gotten Holly House on board with the Dementia Friends initiative, as well as being an advocate for the importance of mental health.

Outside of work, you can find her playing board games, cross stitching, reading, or exploring different parts of the world when she has the time off. She lives with two demanding ragdolls called Sophie and Cleo, and hopes to add a third one called Frank after her next long trip in April.
