Agata joined the Holly House team in September 2019 after spending several years working in first and second opinion exotic practices around South Yorkshire and Kent. She qualified from the Nottingham University in 2015 and has strong interests in exotic species, surgery, diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine and canine behaviour. Agata has a passion for providing a high standard of care to all patients, scaly, furry or feathered and ensuring that all animals' welfare is looked after regardless of how big or small they might be.
Agata has always been keen on sharing research on exotic species and is a published author of research papers, numerous articles and is a frequent speaker at national conferences such as the London Vet Show. She is currently studying towards the Certificate of Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine and plans on pursuing further studies in surgery and diagnostic imaging following this.
Outside of work Agata enjoys being as creative as possible by creative writing, make up and floristry. She practices flow yoga, frequently hikes with her rescue dog Lazaro, who she is also consistently training. Her pet zoo of rescue animals consists of one handsome dog, four guinea pigs, two rabbits (one of which is 13 years old!) and two Russian tortoises. Agata is also a keen linguist speaking 3 languages and is currently studying Chinese Mandarin as well.
