Matthew has been a RVN for over 25 years and is passionate about providing gold standard welfare minded veterinary care for all exotic and domesticated species.
He started his career at a large mixed species practice as a trainee in 1989, progressing within that practice to be in charge of the operating theatres. In 2003, he moved to ZSL London Zoo's veterinary department and progressed to Senior Clinical Nurse before leaving, looking for a new challenge in 2017.
Matthew has worked in numerous places all around the world in zoological, conservation and wildlife veterinary facilities and has been lucky enough to have nursed most species from ants to elephants! Matthew is an elected member of the RCVS VN council (The regulator for all vets and veterinary nurses in the UK) as well as being chair and co founder of the Association of Zoo and Exotic Veterinary Nurses (AZEVN)
