Katie Cooper

Katie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in November 2015 so is coming up to her 6 year anniversary this year! She joined the wonderful team at Holly House at the start of April 2021 as a senior hospital nurse and is absolutely loving being back in the buzz of a busy hospital environment again after a couple years away in a smaller GP practice.

Since moving here, Katie has become heavily involved in procedures involving exotics (small furries, reptiles and birds) and also helps organise the laparoscopic procedures & anaesthetics with the senior vet and other lead nurse. Katie has always owned and had a passion for rabbits in particular, since being a child, so she is enjoying being able to nurse and look after so many at Holly House that need our help.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys being outdoors and keeping fit and active, with a particular passion for weightlifting which she has been doing for years now. She also loves to bake, hike and is looking forward to being able to travel and explore new countries again when we are finally allowed! Katie has 2 lovely black cats called Fig and Bridget and a handsome bunny called Doug.
